Sessions Undated Resignation Letter:
Jeff-Sessions-Resignation-Letter
The President wants an Attorney General to serve his interest, not the public. Mueller’s investigation and the independence of the DOJ must be protected. This happened the day after the mid-terms for one reason—he didn’t want the American people to hold him accountable. Sessions wanted to stay until the end of the week but John Kelly told him no. Marijuana Stocks Spiked After Jeff Sessions Resigned. The former attorney general was a major political roadblock to further cannabis legalization.
Some of the coverage from Twitter:
If you don’t think Mueller had a plan for when Jeff Sessions was fired, then you don’t understand Mueller. A new Acting Attorney General can’t do squat if there are already sealed indictments, which there almost certainly are. Trump is in over his head. He just doesn’t know it. Brian Krassenstein
.@realDonaldTrump’s firing of Jeff Sessions brings us one step closer to a constitutional crisis. Congress must act to ensure that Special Counsel Mueller can do his job without interference.

If @realDonaldTrump was innocent and had nothing to hide in the Russia investigation then there would be no reason for him to fire Jeff Sessions. This is yet another attempt to cover up the biggest conspiracy in U.S. history—Trump conspired with Russia to steal the 2016 election.

Jeff Sessions won’t be missed. A man who believes civil rights are conditional cannot be our top law enforcement officer. But if GOP continues to give cover to @realDonaldTrump, trust that we will get answers about this decision in January.
